IN PROGRESS
We decided after a few more days hiking in Pennsylvania, and a quick little concert in Philadelphia, we would head to Mount Katahdin, Maine, and hike south from the northern terminus. Our quick little concert is…
The concert sponsor made us smile. This is who we are now.
I enjoy coming across these markers. Commemorating 75 yrs of the AT.
Views from Pulpit Rock, mile 1230. While enjoying this view, we ran into this little guy…
We believe this is a Copperhead when compared to snakes I found online. The shot below is a pretty cool face-to-face photo.
CornDog and Warrior Princess packed up and enjoying the rocky trail.
More trail art, I guess. This could represent something else, but it’s lost on me.
This is an all around lovely photo.
I came cross this little fox cub at the start of the Blue Mountain ascent, mile 1261. If I had been a bit quicker I would have also photographed his sibling. They were playing, having a great time.
Palmerston is a resupply town, about 2 miles from the trailhead. A convenient side trail leads to town, and avoids a highway hike.
I’m about half way up Blue Mountain. I’m not sure the photos convey the steepness of the trail. The photo above is the trail from behind(with a view of the Lehigh River), and the next photo is my view looking ahead/above. The trail transitioned to rock climbing.
This shot is a little grainy, but not too bad.
I’m working on identifying this fuzzy flower.
This is almost a Where’s Waldo photo. Can you see it?
