Days 35 & 36 – Hiking to Tehachapi mile 566

Song of the post – “Here you come again” by Dolly Parton

These next two days is largely desert, aqueduct, windmills, and more desert. And the wind is…well, the words to describe are not easy to find.
Not much to read in this section, mostly pictures with captions.

Early morning on the aqueduct
A common sight
These’s beauty everywhere
As I said
Well,
maybe beauty isn’t everywhere

Regarding windmills, we were told that the largest concentration of windmills in the United States is here in the Kern County area. And as I type this it just hit me that we’re no longer in Los Angeles county. How about that? It felt like we were in LA county, hiking, for weeks.

YAY 😁

Arrived in Tehachapi on the second day. We will zero here, and resupply for the 4 to 5 day hike to Walker Pass, and then hitch into Ridgecrest. BTW, Tehachapi is delightful. More to come.
